1&1 Ionos No responses

I have been using their products for years and without any problem, until yesterday, I bought some domains and today I have not received any answer, but they do deduct the money from the bank. Since this order is through a new account, I have no way to contact them, basically because they didn't assign me an account and I don't even have a phone number since I don't have the contact PIN.

1&1 Ionos OK

I've used 1and1 for the last several years and have not encountered any major problems except for a service outage that lasted several days a few years ago.
On the downside, their tech support appears to be outsourced to India. Some of the techies are impossible to understand and some are quite stupid. On the other hand, I haven't needed much in the way of tech support due to the problem-free nature of their service.
My sites are relatively low traffic, so I don't know how 1and1 is for sites with heavy traffic.
All in all and knowing what I do now, I probably would use a different service if I were just starting out but, as things are going OK now, I'm not likely to switch.

1&1 Ionos I had to call 4 different times & email countless others to get my contracts cancelled

I had to call 4 different times & email countless others to get my contracts cancelled. Even though is was their fault for continuously charging me after I asked multiple times for the account to be cancelled, I was made to pay the extra charges in order to cancel. Don't use this service unless you plan on staying with them forever.

On May 31, 2022, I found IONOS online and decided to pay for a domain name and a website builder service. From what I read online the service would only be $12.00 for a whole 12 months and then afterwards a recurring monthly charge of $5.00 would take place. But instead IONOS took $144.00 from my card, and that means that they are actually charging $12.00 a month for their service, which they do not reveal on their website.

The web services are very substandard, and not really suitable for any kind of legitimate business. Templates are trivial and inflexible, and not useful. Email works OK, but is very overpriced. Up-selling is a constant feature of their interface, so it is easy to purchase services that were not desired, until a multiplicity of contracts can be difficult to cancel. They really should be forced off of the internet, because their business is really very much like a fraudulent site.

1&1 Ionos I signed up with them about a year ago

I signed up with them about a year ago. Was happy with the service. The url's I bought I completely forgot about, ended up signing with a company so I didn't need the service. The charges piled on at the year mark. I called customer service to cancel the service(s). One by one, they said they couldn't cancel, but could stop auto renewal. A little snooping online, and that was a lie. They offer a 30 day refund on new service. All of my services had been charged in the last 3 weeks. I spoke with 3 different customer service agents, and none of them did what I asked. My guess is their business model is failing and they're resorting to sneaky subscription models to lie to customers. I would have gone along with it, but my wife started digging online, and found so many with similar experiences. I have an idea. Just charge monthly and avoid the scammy practices. At this point, not even a refund would change my mind about the current condition of the company. I'd like to see them shift their business practices.

They keep resetting the IP address in the DNS so my website keeps going down. Worst service I have ever dealt with. If you ask for a supervisor or manager, they say they don't have one.

Horrible to non-existent customer service. Our company's emails are being blocked by Spamhouse and we asked Ionos IT team to look at this issue. All i get in reply to my emails some pre-composed standard recommendation on autoreply. No way to get through to any real IT person. When I call and complain, all I get is "Oh, I am so sorry..." That's the best they can do. 4 months straight we are trying to resolve this. Multiple calls, emails, and still nothing done on their side. We even provided them with a step by step instructions on how to remove us from Spamhouse list! All they have to do is follow darn instructions that I emailed them. It takes like 2 minutes of their time, but they apparently don't have any able body to do this. I'd stay away from a company with this kind of customer care.

I was with this company on multiple projects for many years. They fail to provide trustworthy and reliable service in recent years. Billing and customer account portals are poorly developed and organized. Billing practices are not transparent and seem intentionally cryptic. Agents fail to understand complex accounts and do not communicate effectively internally. I am migrating all of my domain and hosting products out of ionos 1and1.

1&1 Ionos When I was using their services, I was happy

When I was using their services, I was happy. My experience trying to cancel my contract ruined my opinion for them. After I had retired my domain, I was told my service would be cancelled. When it was time for renewal, I was charged again. After talking with customer service, they refunded the amount and told me the service would be cancelled. A year later, I received notice that my service would auto renew again. I turned off auto renewal. I tried to remove my payment information, but they only have the option to add new payment options. I talked to customer service and they told me they would have the cancellation department cancel my account (again). Later that day I received an email asking me to confirm I wanted to cancel the account. I replied "Yes, please cancel". I never received a reply or confirmation. A few days later I received a message that the payment for my contract failed. This surprised me because two people had told me the contract would be cancelled and I had turned off auto renewal. I was lucky that the credit card I had on file had been replaced by my bank and the payment failed. I emailed the cancellation department again, explaining all of this. I did not receive a reply and my contract was still there (though now expired). After a week of no response, I tried only support. They told me to call the cancellation department (again). On this attempt, I finally received confirmation that my account had been cancelled. If they made it easier to make changes or cancel services, I would give Ionos a good review. But not cancelling after telling people they will be cancelled several times is bad. Charging credit cards after that and even with auto renew turned off is worse.

This company is a mediocre Company, I would give it 0 Star, not 1, 4 Days of calls and emails to their support to add Global Admin Right on a client account, only Level 2 can do it. I guess they don't have a Level 2 since they didn't do it. It takes 2 Min to do. Tech Support is not able to assist or provide the management phone numbers. Hard to understand how they are in business.

DO NOT do business with these people they don't listen.. This is the 2nd time I've called to cancel account.. They said i have 2 accounts i closed 1 in 2017 they still trying to charge me.. Easy to sign up real hard to cancel buyer beware...

Great features, solid, speed, and uptime are great. The only complaint is for the USD20 for the SSL Certificate, other than that A+. I´ve been using it for 6 years when it was called 1&1.

In 2015 I chose to use a website for real estate I chose Ionos because they were under $15. I moved and I cancelled. Last month January 2022 I noticed a charge of $180 and called, tried to get into my account to cancel (was locked out) and was placed on forever hold. At the end of January I received another email saying I was getting charged $180. I emailed, called, tried to get into my account and was placed on hold for over an hour until I finally hung up. I received an email back January 31st from Jose attached on February 2nd I was charged again $180 for I still don’t know what. I called and got through to someone finally. I was transferred to technical support, then abuse (because I was locked out) the cancellation department and then back to technical support and then he hung up as he was trying to get me to redemption after over an hour waiting to get a refund. I don’t know how my $15 cancelled charge went to $180 and I am livid. This has taken weeks out of my life only to realize that someone changed and charged my account for years for over $1000. Please help me!

Deceptive pricing! Initially cost about half as much as competitors, ended up paying 3x as much as better web host services, with little to no communication about the price increase. All documentation has purposefully misleading wording regarding upcoming charges. Their support "team" also doesn't know how to properly communicate via phone or email. I've written them several times and supposedly received a reply from their "escalation" team that was just copy/pasted bits of information and several forwarded emails, with no actual support or explanation, much less any attempt at a resolution. Definitely would NOT recommend ANY of their services.

I work as an IT specialist/ sys admin at a tech company. The amount of scam emails and phishing attempts we get from email addresses associated with this company is INSANE. Nearly every time I check our email server, the WAN IP address I pull always goes back to this "ISP". Based on prior reviews I have read here, I am not going to attempt phone contact just to be told I am not a client and therefore cannot be helped. However, I would like to share my experience thus far as a cautionary tale.

I purchased some domain names from IONOS last year. I chose not to renew the domains with them. However, I was still billed for them and it has now gone to collections. I disputed the collection account and all they did was send me a copy of the IONOS invoice indicating they think it is legit. IONOS, stop billing people for items they do not want. I have dealt with other domain registrars and have never experienced this brazen tactic to get money for nothing. It is fraud and extortion. I do not owe anything to IONOS. I simply chose not to renew my domains and now it is affecting my credit score. Disgraceful.

Most of the people here with issues shouldn't rely on the hosting company to provide support on issues the users introduced, or didn't know enough about web servers to keep them safe. They provide support only on the platform, at its base level. Once you add on to it, YOU ARE reliable to maintain it. Don't blame the company for your lack of knowledge... 1&1 dedicated machines are great, and they work just fine if you know what you are doing. Otherwise hire a web developer to help you.

I've been using IONOS since April 2018 when it was still 1&1 and they've still been the best web hosting company I've had. Even with their basic shared hosting, you have access to building with WordPress and other web applications, as well as building it from scratch with access to your webspace and FTP. Their MyWebsite builder is moderately priced, unlike others on the market. When I first started using their MyWebsite builder I had selected the wrong plan and their chat support was able to switch me to the right one fast and without any charge from the wrong plan I selected at first.

1&1 Ionos Mixed Experience with Ionos.com: Lack of Transparency and Poor Customer Service

I've been a loyal customer of Ionos.com (formerly known as 1and1.com) for quite some time now. Back in the day, the site was easy to navigate and had upfront billing, which made my life a lot easier. I currently have 4 websites up and running with them, and one website parked for future use. I've been on automatic payments for almost a decade now, and have never had any issues until today.

I started receiving calls from clients saying that my email was getting kicked back. Naturally, I was concerned and decided to call up Ionos to see what was going on. To my surprise, I was informed that the contract for my MAIN WEBSITE had been cancelled last year due to non-payment. This website is crucial to my construction company, as it funds all of my other endeavors. The representative I spoke to informed me that I was short a payment from last year for $49.90, even though I was set up on automatic payments. She assured me that if I made the payment, they would get my website and email back up immediately. She even asked for a screenshot of the payment, which I promptly sent over.

That was at 10 in the morning, and it's now 2pm. I've been on the phone with them this entire time, listening to them talk in circles about why it's my fault, not theirs. Their invoices don't show what payment is going to what website, which has only added to my frustration. I've lost my mind (and my temper) at this point. I can't believe that they would do this to a loyal customer like myself.

Overall, my experience with Ionos has been a mixed bag. While I appreciate their user-friendly interface and automatic payment options, their lack of transparency and poor customer service has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that they can improve in these areas in the future, as I would hate to have to switch to a different hosting provider.

1&1 Ionos Avoid Ionos (ionos.com) at all costs - Unprofessional customer care and lack of services as advertised

My experience with Ionos (ionos.com) was not good at all. The customer care was lacking and unprofessional, which is why we decided to cancel our hosting accounts with Fast Hosts and Ionos. I would strongly advise others to avoid them at all costs. The staff were rude and did not provide the services as advertised. We have lengthy evidence to provide within emails to support this claim.

In a previous case, we had a bad experience with Fast Hosts, which resulted in an award for compensation due to their rudeness, lack of professionalism, and very poor customer care. They did apologize in writing for their behavior. We will also be making sure that Trading Standards are aware of Ionos' unprofessionalism and the losses and stress they caused us, as well as updating them on Fast Hosts.

The reply we received from Ionos was inaccurate. The main reason we left Fast Hosts was because they lost a case against us for mis-selling products by their fraud team. They then deliberately lost our websites, and Ionos played a part in this as well. I am glad that the case has now been uncovered, as it shows how dishonest they are. They coerced us by being threatening and abusive, which is unacceptable.

We advised Ionos to close the account, but they have declared otherwise. This is yet another untruth and another error upon error. The lack of trained staff to manage the transfer of a group of websites is evident, and we have email evidence to support these facts. Unfortunately, all our efforts to resolve the issue have been fruitless.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their customer care is lacking, and their staff are unprofessional. They do not provide the services as advertised, and their behavior is unacceptable. I hope that they will improve their services in the future, but until then, I would advise others to steer clear of them.

1&1 Ionos Ionos: Fraudulent Contracts and Shady Business Practices

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Ionos. I cancelled my service back in May, but these guys are still causing me problems. It's like they don't even care about their customers. They've even gone so far as to steal from me and open an illegal account in my name. Can you believe that?

I've been trying to transfer my domain, but they just won't let me. It's like they're holding it hostage or something. I even sent them an email telling them to close the unauthorized account and transfer my domain to me, but they haven't done anything about it. I'm getting pretty fed up with their lack of action.

I mean, seriously, I'm not asking for much here. All I want is for them to do their job and fix their mess. If they don't, I'm going to take legal action against them. I'm not messing around anymore. They have 24 hours to comply with my request, or I'm going to make sure everyone knows about their fraudulent contracts and shady business practices.

It's really frustrating when a company doesn't take their customers seriously. I've had enough of this nonsense. Ionos needs to step up and do the right thing. If they don't, they're going to regret it.

1&1 Ionos Unprofessional and Harassing Customer Service from Ionos: A Review

So, I had a bit of a situation with Ionos this morning. Apparently, they sent me to a debt collection agency for a debt that I don't even have! I had cancelled the domain that I had bought and never used months prior, but even if I hadn't cancelled it, the debt they claimed I had accrued was only ?12. I mean, come on, really?

Anyway, I called them up to try and resolve the issue, but they were incredibly rude and abrupt with me. They refused to even take my details and discuss the matter with me. Instead, they tried to get me off the call for a good 40 minutes, saying that I had to talk to their debt collectors. I mean, what kind of customer service is that?

After being put on hold for the third time, I finally managed to get them to look at my details. Lo and behold, they admitted that the cancellation hadn't taken place. It took them another 20 minutes of silence to rectify their notes. Can you believe it?

To make matters worse, they still expected me to speak to their debt collection agency about their mistake! I refused and asked for an email to confirm that the issue had been resolved. I finally received an email later on saying that "as a gesture of goodwill, we have cancelled the debt/payment". I mean, seriously? I don't owe them anything!

I have to say, I will never recommend their harassment and up-selling tactics. Two members of staff were extremely rude, shouting at me and trying to cut me off from explaining their inaccuracy. It's just not acceptable.

Overall, I would say that my experience with Ionos has been less than satisfactory. I would advise anyone thinking of using their services to think twice before doing so.

1&1 Ionos Terrible Experience with Ionos: Aggressive Marketing and Lost Domain

I recently had a terrible experience with Ionos (formerly known as 1 and 1) and I want to share my story with you. I had been a loyal customer for almost two decades and had always been satisfied with their services. However, my recent encounter with them left me feeling frustrated and cheated.

The problem started when I received an overwhelming number of marketing emails from Ionos. These emails flooded my billing email box, making it extremely difficult for me to distinguish between essential billing emails and junk. As a result, I missed the opportunity to renew my domain promptly. To make matters worse, my credit card had been issued with an updated expiration date, which further complicated the payment process.

Despite my repeated requests to stop sending me marketing emails, Ionos continued to bombard me with them. As a result, I lost my domain, which I had owned for almost two decades. When I tried to reinstate it, Ionos wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount of money, which I could not afford. To add insult to injury, the domain is now being sold for thousands of dollars higher online.

I felt deceived and cheated by Ionos, and I believe that they are guilty of Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP). I urge anyone who experiences a similar situation to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and keep UDAAP laws in mind.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their marketing tactics are aggressive and overwhelming, and their customer service is terrible. If you value your time and money, stay away from Ionos.

1&1 Ionos Ionos Review: Frustrating Experience with Cancellation and Refund Process

So, I recently signed up with Ionos on December 23rd, 2021 and transferred my domain to their platform. They offered me some services with a 30-day money-back guarantee, which I thought was a great deal. I subscribed to their services and then canceled well before the 30 days were up, on January 3rd, 2022. However, to my surprise, even after canceling, they charged my credit card with USD 90.00.

I tried to call their support numbers, but I was met with a mix of machine and human voices that put me on hold every time. I had to hang up after waiting for a long time, sometimes up to 55 minutes. It was frustrating, to say the least. But, I did the right thing and called my bank to warn them about this fishy website business company and asked them to put a check on my credit card.

Finally, after multiple attempts, I was able to speak with a representative named Theo. He informed me that my account was locked and that he would forward my case to the security team. I told him that I wanted three things to be done in 72 hours. Firstly, I wanted my money back, which was USD 90. Secondly, I wanted my credit card details deleted from Ionos.com. And lastly, I wanted my account to be canceled from Ionos since I no longer wanted their service.

I made sure to send these three points in an email a couple of times to record this for my documentation. I also recorded the last two calls for my records. After 72 hours, if these three things were not done, I would pass all my documentation, emails, and call recordings to a lawyer in the USA and file a lawsuit against them.

Overall, my experience with Ionos has been frustrating and disappointing. I hope that they will resolve this issue soon and that other customers will not have to go through the same ordeal.

1&1 Ionos Unreliable and Frustrating: My Experience with Ionos Website Hosting

I recently had an experience with Ionos (ionos.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I made the mistake of trusting them with my website, and now I feel stuck with them. If I could go back and choose a different company, I absolutely would.

Over the course of six months, I had numerous issues with Ionos. Their customer service was non-existent, and I spent countless hours on the phone with one unhelpful representative after another. It was a frustrating experience that left me feeling like I was wasting my time.

There were several reasons why I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. First, their website creator glitches often, making it difficult to create a website that looks professional and functions properly. Second, their website traffic data is inconsistent, which makes it difficult to track the success of your website. Third, they will try to upsell you on products you don't need without providing any information about them.

In addition to these issues, Ionos has a lot of useless products that do nothing to improve your website. They also lie about incentives through their advertising, and their agents have no idea what you are talking about when you ask about them. They will also lie about assisting you with compensation to try to get you to give them better reviews.

One of the most frustrating things about Ionos is that they will not give you any contract information beyond what you have already paid for. They consider past bills as contracts, which is not helpful if you need to make changes to your account.

If you use their website creator, you will not be able to move to another host. This is a major issue if you decide that you want to switch to a different company in the future.

Finally, Ionos will lie about attempting to charge your payment method, which can cause you to go into default with their collections system. This can subsequently cause your website to lapse, which is a major problem if you rely on your website for your business.

Overall, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their agents are rude and unhelpful, and they will often tell you to "calm down" or give you a dismissive "oopsy poopsy, our bad" when you have a problem. If you want a reliable website hosting company, I would suggest using GoDaddy and getting WordPress. It may cost a few bucks more, but at least you know you are dealing with a credible company.

1&1 Ionos Beware of IONOS: Long Contracts and Hidden Fees

If you've ever used a domain registration and hosting site like GoDaddy, you might be used to certain business practices that are common in the modern age. However, if you're looking for a company that operates more like they did in the early 2000s, then IONOS might be the right choice for you.

One thing to keep in mind when working with IONOS is that they create contracts for every purchase you make with them. This means that if you pick up a domain for a project that you later decide not to pursue, you might still be on the hook for charges related to that domain. In fact, as the attached image and quote show, your contract may remain active and continue to incur charges even if you don't want it to.

This can be frustrating if you're used to more flexible options from other hosting providers. For example, if you use Digital Ocean, you can spin up a droplet whenever you need it and shut it down just as easily. Plus, if you don't use the service for a few months, they'll even give you your money back.

Another issue with IONOS is that they lock you into long contracts, and it can be difficult to cancel them. Even if you cancel your domain registration, they might still require you to pay hosting charges through the end of the contract. And if you do try to cancel, they might tell you that it's not possible.

1&1 Ionos I am a web designer by trade

I am a web designer by trade. I own and operate *** in Auburn, CA, an Information Technology and Web Design company since 1998. I provide web design services to no less than 6 clients who have all been referred to IONOS, formerly 1and1. I recommend IONOS to my clients because at least until about a year ago, they provided exemplary customer service in addition to the web products my clients require. I have had ***.com as a customer since January 2018. During that time, I have had issues with IONOS, three of which involved the sudden corruption of our web site. My first reaction is to contact IONOS' technical support and describe that web site has been compromised and I require their assistance. The last occasion was yesterday, August 17th, 2020. At 1;30pm (PST), I noticed that the web site had been compromised and reached out to IONOS for assistance. The response I got from their support team is that web site looks find and that they could find no issues with it. Being the web designer for ***.com, it was clear that the web site had been compromised. The images and text on several pages including the main landing page had become compromised. Attempts to request assistance were met with extremely long holding times, some to 45 minutes with no response from IONOS. When IONOS returned to the phone, I was advised to check back with IONOS in a couple of hours, that the web site would be looking correctly at that time. I called back at around 4:00p, (PST) and explained that the web site was still not working properly. I was advised to hold and again was placed on a long hold pattern after which I was disconnected. Several attempt to call IONOS back were unsuccessful as I was placed back into a "hold queue" for long periods of time. When I did get through, I made attempts to communicate the difficulty I have been having with IONOS. The response was argumentative, and the service technician would not acknowledge my concerns but continued to put me on hold. I asked to speak to a manager to get more appropriate support. This request was ignored. The web site came up restored at approximately 5:00pm (PST). I asked the service technician if he would have all of the extraneous files that were created in perform the restore of our web site deleted and have only those files that are associated with the web site saved. In about 10 minutes into that conversation, the whole web site was deleted. The technician had the wrong directory deleted. The technician explained that another restore would be performed to call back in a while if the restore was not successful. The restore was stalled a couple of hours later. I wound up deleting ALL the files on the server and copying the files I had backed up a week earlier. This was successful. I then had to edit a weeks’ worth of work to the web site. In conversations I have had with IONOS' technical support, they told me that even though I had purchased a *** hosting package, IONOS is not responsible for supporting *** or other third-party software (plugins). I was advised to create a sub-domain and to create a "mirror" web site where I could test the themes and plugins. When I asked how to create a subdomain, I was advised to go to certain IONOS' web pages and to perform certain functions that were supposed to be available on those pages. When I tried to explain that what they were representing was not what I was seeing, I was ridiculed and challenged as to my abilities and knowledge of web design and familiarity with IONS. Summary: IONOS' technical support is substandard with insensitive and incompetent technical support advisors. IONOS' technical support teams discourages the entertainment of escalating unsuccessful technical calls to supervisors or management IONOS challenges their clients, claiming that it was their fault that the web site is compromised, failing to except responsibility when problems arise IONOS' technical support deleted files and directories and failed to take appropriate action to resolve issues that were represented to them IONOS' technical team uses different strategies to avoid accepting responsibility for issues they cannot rectify or do not know how by disconnecting calls, acting as though they cannot hear the customer or by putting the client on hold for extreme times, as longs an hour at a time

Spam. Ionos continues to let a scamming spammer send spam every day, even after these spam messages are being reported to their abuse address.There is a professional spammer using ionos to send spam with links to malicious code located on a different host. Because that is what these crooks do. Ionos has been given plain-text copies of these scam-spams via their abuse reporting address.Ionos does not seem to care and continues to let the scammer abuse people.

This company uses extortion to cause problems for users and sell services we don't need. A few days ago we got an email from them stating to protect us there was a questionable folder with a file that may be malicious code. However they would NOT allow us to look at our own files to see which file was in question and locked down the entire website without notice. When we called they attempted to blame the problem on us and state it was a *** problem not theirs. But this only happened after the email was sent to us. It started to happen on 3 of for installations which were all running perfectly with not problem however they were part of the same hosting package. We are constantly to they will fix it and to call back but the same problem continues and the lying or delaying by the security department continues. We have our own virus and scanner system and have NEVER had any problem with being hacked or infected, but NOT allowing us access to our own files to first look and check it not professional and it does not solve the problem if we can not check exactly which folder or file was the issue as they claim they lock down that folder and file. Each day as they claim to repair they cause more problems and then the "it's not our fault blame the customer issues happen. We have lost thousands of dollars as we are unable to update our website and change dates and pricing as the problem stops us from getting to our files and pages to update. Domains when you try to log onto the *** admin page come up white blank pages Support numbers are constantly busy, chat never works and no support email is easy to find or avaiable

1&1 Ionos Domain Yearly

Purchased a domain for $1/year then got a renewal invoice for $120! HA! So anyways I called to cancel and was offered a discount to $17/year to stay with them and I said yes. Well they added a new $17 invoice but never removed the $120 invoice. I've called 3 times now with the same response, we will give you a discount if you stay. The discount never gets applied and now its been over 30 days so the invoice "is valid and cannot be cancelled" and are threatening to send my account to collections but refuse to cancel it because when I called they did not put in the notes that I tried to cancel!

I keep calling this company to close my account and refund the charges but they are not doing so! Please I requested a free trial and then called to stop the account once the trial was over. somehow they never record my requests and keep charging. They told me they will refund but I still do not see that on my credit card account. They only want to refund partial amounts as the other charges were distributed by them to a 3rd party company. I cannot accept that argument as I requested these accounts to be stopped entirely! Please I hope you can stop the fraud that is going on.

1&1 Ionos Stay Away from Ionos: Nightmare Cancellation Process and Unethical Billing Practices

I'm a marketing consultant and I've been using Ionos for hosting several websites. I must say, everything was going fine until I decided to cancel my subscription. The user interface is a bit clunky, but hey, you get what you pay for, right? However, the cancellation process has been a nightmare for me. I can't even believe what I've been through!

I've tried to cancel my subscription through the website where the contracts are hosted, via phone calls (incoming and outgoing), and even through emails, but all my efforts have been in vain. It's been months since I've been trying to cancel my subscription, and I've made well over a dozen attempts in the past six months. I've requested, begged, and even threatened to file formal complaints and write reviews warning others off, just like I'm doing now. But, to my surprise, I keep getting billed!

I've seen many reviews describing exactly what I've experienced, so it's clear that this is a standard business practice for Ionos and not an isolated error. I'm warning you, please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Their low rates may seem attractive, but their unethical billing practices will eventually catch up with you.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, and their billing practices are unethical. If you're looking for a reliable hosting provider, I suggest you look elsewhere. Don't make the same mistake I did.

1&1 Ionos Unreliable and Frustrating: My Experience with Ionos Web Hosting

I am really frustrated with Ionos. I was convinced to add some extra features a few months ago to boost my website's traffic through SEO. However, when I finally tried to use these features, I found myself constantly being redirected to other pages and being prompted to purchase more and different services. This was really annoying and made it difficult for me to get anything done.

To make matters worse, I spent hours setting up Google Ads, only to find out that I couldn't finalize the process because I didn't receive the cell code authentication. I thought it was a website error, so I called in twice to try and resolve the issue. After a lot of back and forth, I was finally told that I needed to pay at least $25 a month just to use Google Ads, which was another extra cost. I was so angry about my lost hours trying to hack through something impossible and basically being scammed by my own web host.

It's bad enough that Ionos requires multiple layers of subscriptions, but it's even worse that they let you prepare all this marketing stuff on their form pages only to tell you that you can't even use it. This is really frustrating and makes me feel like I've wasted my time and money with this company.

Overall, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone looking for a reliable web host. Their constant upselling and confusing pricing structure make it difficult to get anything done, and their customer service is not very helpful. If you're looking for a web host, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

1&1 Ionos IONOS Web Hosting: A Nightmare Experience with Copyright Infringement

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with IONOS. So, I had this picture on my website that I got from a template on their Web Builder Design Tab. Next thing I know, I get a demand letter from an attorney for $3500, accusing me of copyright infringement. I mean, come on, I didn't even know it was copyrighted!

So, I reached out to IONOS, called them up and sent them a bunch of emails. They told me that they escalated the issue and that someone would call me back "shortly". But, it's been 24 hours and I still haven't heard anything. I mean, what's their definition of "shortly"?

Now, I have to go and find myself an attorney to represent me because there's no way I'm paying that kind of money. Going to court without representation is just not an option. And, honestly, I feel like IONOS is 100% responsible for this whole mess.

I've even taken down the picture and my entire website. I've got screenshots of everything just in case it all disappears from the IONOS site. And, you know what? I'm even thinking about finding a new web hosting company altogether.

It's just frustrating that this could all be avoided if they just returned my call. But, I guess that's just how it goes sometimes.

1&1 Ionos Avoid Ionos at All Costs: My Terrible Experience with Their Customer Support

I have to say, my experience with Ionos (ionos.com) was not a pleasant one. I purchased a hosting plan from them about a year ago and everything seemed to be going well. However, just two days before my renewal date, I decided to cancel my subscription. That's when things started to go downhill.

I received an automated message stating that I still had to pay for the canceled subscription. I was confused and frustrated, so I reached out to their customer support team. My consultant, Arke Cenabr, told me that I needed to pay the invoice and that he would refund me immediately to help remove the automated notice. I reluctantly agreed and paid the total amount, but when I asked for the refund, they told me that they would deduct $70 for the two days of usage of the subscription, even though I had canceled it before the renewal date!

I was outraged and felt like I was being robbed. After many messages back and forth, they eventually reduced the deduction to $20. I still wasn't happy about it, but I agreed to it anyway. However, I still haven't received my refund from them. I've asked them multiple times to refund my money, but they've refused and even went as far as suspending my account and all my services. They told me to open a dispute against them with my financial institution to get my money back!

Honestly, I feel like they're scammers and I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy from them. There are plenty of other qualified and cheaper hosting options out there. Save yourself the headache and avoid Ionos at all costs.

1&1 Ionos Nightmare Cancellation Process with Ionos Hosting Service: A Frustrating Experience

So, we had to make a new website when we got our business, and we decided to cancel our hosting service with Ionos. Let me tell you, it was a real pain in the butt. First of all, finding the option to cancel on their website was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It took us forever to locate it. And even when we did, we found out that we had to call their 877 number to actually cancel.

So, we called and waited on hold for what felt like an eternity. Finally, after 20-30 minutes, we were connected to a representative. But instead of just canceling our service, they tried to convince us not to cancel. They used every trick in the book to try to keep us as customers. It was really frustrating.

Eventually, they agreed to send us the domain transfer code, but we had to be careful. They also offered to update our contact information, but if we accepted that, our account would be locked for an additional 60 days. That meant two more months of fees charged!

We thought we were in the clear once we got the transfer code, but we were wrong. We checked our email and found out that they had canceled our cancellation! Can you believe it? We had to send multiple very long email complaints to get the 60 day hold removed.

Once we finally got that sorted out, we had to log in and cancel again. And then we had to call and wait on hold AGAIN. And of course, we had to endure the hard sell all over again. It was ridiculousness, I tell you.

Overall, our experience with Ionos was not a good one. The cancellation process was a nightmare, and we wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

1&1 Ionos False Promises: Ionos' 24/7 Support Falls Short for Small Business Owner's Website-Building Needs

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with Ionos. They talk a big game about their 24/7 support, but when it comes down to it, it's really just the basic, password-resetting type of staff that's available all the time. If you need anything more complicated than that, you're out of luck.

I'm a small business owner, and I was trying to build a website for my company. I asked six different chat reps if tier 2 support was available on the weekends, because that's when I have the most time to work on my site. They all said yes, and I even got it in writing. But when I actually tried to work on my site this weekend, I found out that tier 2 support was not available at all.

The tier 1 guy I talked to said that their site builder was "broken," and there was no one available to fix it on the weekend. He said they'd call me back in a couple of days, but that didn't really help me when I had set aside the entire day to work on my site. I was pretty frustrated, to say the least.

If Ionos hadn't promised me that tier 2 support was available on weekends, I wouldn't be so mad. But they did, and then they didn't deliver. It's not a good look for them, and I'm not sure I'll be using their services again in the future.

1&1 Ionos Buyer Beware: My Experience with Ionos as a Domain Registrar

Ionos can be a bit tricky to deal with, so be careful before you make any purchases. I've been a loyal customer for years and have registered around 150 domains with them. However, I've recently noticed that their prices are no longer competitive, so I've started transferring my domains to a new registrar.

One of the biggest issues I've had with Ionos is their user interface. It's slow and clumsy, and it takes forever to navigate through their pages. Cancelling a contract, for example, requires you to go through seven different pages. If you have a lot of domains, cancelling can be a real nightmare.

I thought I had turned off all auto-renew options, but it turns out there were two that I missed. I didn't think it would be a big deal since I didn't have any valid payment methods on file. However, Ionos still charged me for those domains, even though I had transferred them to a different registrar. They extended me "credit" to do this, and then came after me for payment. Eventually, they sold my "debt" to a collection agency.

To make matters worse, Ionos refused to help me cancel my domains with them. I had to do it all manually, which took me over five hours since I had so many domains.

1&1 Ionos Unprofessional and Misleading: My Experience with Ionos Hosting Provider

My experience with Ionos was not a pleasant one, to say the least. From the very beginning, I was met with unprofessionalism and unfriendliness. The contracts they offer are misleading and reflect their low standard of business ethics. For instance, they include terms such as "30 day money back guarantee" in emails, but when you try to claim it, they refuse to honor it, stating that "the hosting contract that you have ordered does not have 30-days money-back-guarantee". Why include that in the footer of the confirmation emails then? It's misleading and dishonest.

Another major issue with Ionos is its lack of customer support for the southern hemisphere. If you have an urgent problem with the hosting provider, you will need to wait until their customer service team wakes up before you can get help. And even then, their preferred method of contact is by phone, which is useless if you are outside the small list of countries with their call centers in. This is a major inconvenience for anyone who lives in the southern hemisphere and needs help with their hosting provider.

Overall, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your hosting provider. There are much better options out there, such as Bluehost, which offers a much better service and 24/7 support. It's definitely worth the extra cost to have a reliable hosting provider that you can count on. Don't waste your time with Ionos - they're not worth it.

I recently had an experience with Ionos (ionos.com) and I must say, I was quite disappointed. At first glance, their prices seemed too good to be true. And as it turns out, they were. I quickly realized that they were fraudsters.

The first issue I encountered was with my password. It simply didn't work. I tried their automated password change service, but it didn't fix the issue. I paid for an account that I couldn't even log into. Frustrating, right?

I tried to log a support ticket, but guess what? Their password doesn't allow a login. So, I had to resort to emailing their support team. But that didn't work either. Their support staff refused to talk about my account unless I used the email registered with them. I use aliases for my emails and have never had this issue with any other company.

I thought maybe I could sort it out over the phone. But that was a nightmare. Their customer disservice has been offshored to the Philippines. It took forever to get through to someone and when I finally did, they hung up on me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. They wouldn't even talk about my account until I provided a pin they had given me. But even then, they didn't recognize their own pin!

Eventually, I asked to speak with sales and managed to get a refund. But it was a long and frustrating process. It's no wonder their prices are so low. I know tech folk who have used their services and they attest to an intolerable customer disservice level.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos. Their prices may seem attractive, but the headaches and frustration that come with their service are not worth it. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a reliable web hosting provider.

1&1 Ionos Unprofessional and Rude Customer Service: My Experience with IONOS

I recently decided to give IONOS a try, as I was in need of email service for my domain and thought their website builder might come in handy as well. They advertised a low cost of just 2 dollars for the first month, which seemed like a great deal to me. However, my experience with them quickly turned sour.

On the day that they were supposed to charge my account, I had only 23 dollars left to last me until my next paycheck, which was still four days away. To my shock and dismay, they took the entire amount, leaving me with nothing. I immediately called their customer service line, but unfortunately, I had trouble communicating with the representative due to a language barrier. I asked to speak with a manager, but was hung up on before I could do so.

I called back a second time, trying to remain calm and polite, but once again, I was hung up on when I requested to speak with a manager. This was incredibly frustrating, as I needed that money for gas to get to work over the next few days. I called a third time, and was told that there was no manager on site, but that someone would call me back. Unfortunately, I never received a call back from them.

In the end, I had to cancel everything with IONOS the very next day. The customer service representative assured me that my money would be refunded within hours, but almost a week later, I still had not received it. This was a huge inconvenience for me, and I regret ever trying their service.

Overall, I would not recommend doing business with IONOS. Their customer service was unprofessional and rude, and the fact that they took all of my money without warning was a complete rip off. In the future, I will only do business with companies that provide American-based customer service. This experience was a valuable lesson for me, and I hope that others can learn from my mistake.

1&1 Ionos Website service

This is the worst company on the planet. They should not be allowed to do business or operate. I canceled a website and was billed for 7 months afterwards. Every time I called, I got a different run around. No one knows what they are doing or talking about at this company. They do not keep records of any previous conversations, so know one can track down anything. My websites would go offline. Everyone gives you a different story. There is no escalation department at Ionos. You are stuck talking to a bunch of people whom at first seem knowledgeable. You will think they know what they are doing. Do not be deceived! When you call back next week because the problem is not fixed but worse, they will once again sound good but it will never be fixed. Your website will never function properly. Oh and they will not credit you back for all of their mistakes. Every dollar that you invest in this company will be wasted.

1&1 Ionos Ionos website, web hosting and email plus all unauthorised upsell packages

Had call today,was expecting one about support as website does not function correctly. The contact us section is not functioning. He hard sold an add on, that I continually said I didn't want. I said email me the details. He emailed a confirmation contract!

Whilst upselling, he kept brushing my valid concerns under the table, trying to say it will cure itself if I buy the add ons!

I called and after 45 minutes got through to accounts. They only cancelled one of the two addons. I asked to be transferred to discuss the problems with the website and I am still on hold. Now at 1 hour, 33 mins. They close in 25 mins, so I presume I will get no support.

This site is a scam.

Desired outcome: Full refund and cancellation of the illegal and unethical add ons.Functionality of website repaired.

1&1 Ionos Website hosting package and customer service

You’ve signed me up for a package I did not authorise you to sign me up for then offered me a £1.14 discount since I’ve been a customer of yours since 2018, I went to cancel and then you offer me a 50% discount and then tell me your prices have increased to £15 per month instead of £10 per month. I ask for a manager to call me back but you didn’t and ask for my complaint to be filed over the phone and the guy said he wouldn’t and ignored me when I kept saying hi you there? 3-5 phone calls and you just don’t listen?! Who authorised you to sign me up to the package, discounts and why don’t you do what you say you’re going to do!

Desired outcome: Discount heavily, phone me back to apologise, tell me who authorised my package to be taken out and then I may stay, otherwise cancel my package!
